Rudy De Meester (RDM) Grant
The Rudy De Meester (RDM) Grant is offered annually by the ESVCE to support veterinary medicine students and early-career researchers in the field of veterinary behavioural medicine and comparative clinical ethology.
Student Travel Grant
The RDM Student Travel Grant provides funding of up to €1,000 per recipient to support veterinary medicine undergraduate students attending the annual EVCBMAW congress. This grant enables students to participate in the premier European congress for veterinary behavioural medicine and gain exposure to the latest research and clinical practice.
Research Grant
The RDM Research Grant provides €2,000 plus up to €1,000 in congress expenses to support original clinical research in veterinary behavioural medicine. Grant recipients are expected to present their findings at the next EVCBMAW congress.
About Rudy De Meester
The grant was established in memory of Dr Rudy De Meester, a Belgian veterinarian and long-standing supporter of the ESVCE who made significant contributions to the field of veterinary behavioural medicine, particularly in the area of behavioural assessment and temperament testing.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be current ESVCE members
- For the Student Travel Grant: applicants must be veterinary medicine undergraduate students
- Research must be in the field of veterinary behavioural medicine or comparative clinical ethology
How to Apply
Applications are accepted annually with a deadline of February 28th. The grant committee reviews all proposals and the winner is announced at the EVCBMAW congress.
